The trenchless toolbox:

- Where digging still wins. Collapsed sections with lost geometry, severe bellies (lining copies the sag), certain tie-in clusters and access constraints. Honest scoping names excavation when it is the better engineering.

Is a lined pipe as good as a new pipe?
A properly cured liner is a structural pipe within the old one: sealed, jointless and root-resistant, with a modest diameter reduction that rarely matters hydraulically. Bursting, by contrast, delivers literally new pipe at full or larger diameter.
Can a collapsed sewer line be fixed trenchlessly?
Lining cannot cross a lost-shape collapse; bursting sometimes can if the head can traverse. Full collapses often end in targeted excavation of the failed section, occasionally combined with trenchless for the rest of the run.
How long does trenchless sewer work take?
Typical residential linings and bursts complete in a day or two including pits and reinstatements. The post-work camera pass is part of completion, not an extra.
Why did the quote require a camera inspection first?
