Corrections Policy
Plumbing advice has consequences. If we got something wrong, we want to know, and fix it visibly.
Reporting an error
Send the page address and what you believe is wrong through the contact page. Start your message with “Correction” so it routes to records handling. Technical corrections from plumbing professionals are especially welcome: if you work in the trade and something on a page does not match field reality or your local code, we want that message.
What happens next
- Assessment: the report is checked against sources: manufacturer documentation, code texts, authoritative guidance.
- Correction: confirmed errors are fixed in the page text itself, not papered over.
- Transparency: materially corrected pages carry a dated correction note. Typo-level fixes are made silently.
- Safety priority: anything affecting safety guidance (gas, sewage, electrical, scald risks) jumps the queue and is corrected first.
What this policy covers
Factual and technical claims in our content. Differences of professional opinion about method preference are noted where relevant but are not errors; local code variations are handled by scoping statements rather than corrections, since a practice can be correct in one jurisdiction and prohibited in the next, and our pages are written to say so.
